The 2013 vintage was mild but consistent which allowed for slow, even ripening of the grapes resulting in complex flavours and elegant tannin structure. Enjoy now or continue to cellar through to the year 2023. The grapes were harvested in late November with a portion set aside to dry in the traditional appassimento method for 125 days. The wine was fermented on the skins, pressed, and then aged for 26 months in French and American oak. Enjoy now after a lengthy decant, or continue to cellar through to the year 2023.
Serve this wine alongside dishes such as chateaubriand, T-bone steak, roasted venison medallions, dark chocolate and firm, flavourful cheeses.
