The 2017 vintage was cooler than average but with a warm trend just before harvest which allowed for the grapes to fully ripen. A Ripasso style wine with the Gamay and Pinot Noir grapes harvested, pressed and fermented in stainless steel. The wine was then repassed over the skins and lees of our appassimento red grapes giving the wine added depth and flavour.
Very enjoyable on its own, or serve this wine with summer salads, risotto, picnic fare, roasted chicken, turkey or pork dishes.
