The 2018 vintage benefited from a very hot summer, leading to ripe fruit with complex flavours. We were thrilled to have access to a few rows of Sangiovese vines! The grapes were harvested from mid to late November, with a portion set aside to dry for 105 days in the traditional Appassimento method. The wine was then aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels.
Enjoy this wine with dishes such as barbecued lamb chops topped with chimichurri, flame grilled Tomahawk steak topped with Bearnaise sauce, classic margherita pizza, or smoked tofu on a sauteed vegetable salad.
