On the nose there are aromas of sweet ripe melon and citrus with a hint of minerality. The palate gives an impression of sweetness at first with a vibrant acidity on the mid-palate. Flavours of key lime pie and fresh green apple lead to a long, complex finish.
The 2012 vintage was exceptional, our Estate grown fruit ripened to unprecedented levels. The grapes were harvested in late September. A portion of the Riesling grapes were dried in the appassimento style. The wine was aged and fermented in stainless steel.
This wine pairs naturally with grilled white fish, fresh oysters, trout, pork roasts, and spaetzli as well as Thai cuisine.
