This is a serious Rose that tells a story. A small lot wine with only 175 cases made. On the nose, intense aromas of blackberries, tart cherries and red currants ultimately give way to sweet citrus. Fresh acidity is a hallmark of this patio companion; the palate is delighted by its brightness with flavours of blood orange and pink grapefruit pith. Follow that up with mid-palate complexity which evokes baking spices and finishes with the slight hum of pink peppercorns. Something to think about at every turn, this is the quintessential summer sipper.
||Mother Nature sent it all - a mixed bag of weather. An early spring melt was followed by almost drought-like conditions in late July that continued into the second half of August. Unpredictable weather (rain) at harvest forced winemakers frequently into the vineyards to monitor fruit health and make nimble picking decisions.
||This wine begs to be enjoyed with Asian style short ribs, your favourite charcuterie, shrimp ceviche, or with a good friend on the deck. Be sure to serve well-chilled.
