The 2013 vintage was mild but consistent which allowed for slow, even ripening of the grapes resulting in complex flavours and elegant tannin structure. All of the grapes were harvested from our Estate vineyard starting in late October through to early November, with a portion set aside to dry for 125 days. After pressing and fermentation, the wine aged in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels for 26 months. This wine is in its prime now, but will continue to evolve through to the year 2023.
Pair this wine with grilled ribeye, prime rib, hearty risottos, traditional Italian pastas, firm cheeses and charcuterie, dark chocolate, or enjoy on its own.
