750ml Bottle – 14.4% alc./vol
The 2017 vintage was cooler than average, a warm trend just before harvest allowed for the grapes to fully ripen. The grapes were harvested in early to late November, with a portion set aside to dry for 125 days. After pressing and fermentation the wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for 18 months. The best barrels from our individual vineyard blocks are chosen for the Temptress blend. This wine is tasting exceedingly well now, especially after time in a decanter. It will continue to evolve in your cellar through to the year 2027.
Complex aromas of red cherry, raspberry and currant layered with dark fruit such as blackberry and fresh fig. The palate is bold and
elegant with flavours of red and dark fruit together with notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, leather and spice. With silky smooth, yet prominent tannins.
Pair this wine with dishes such as prime rib, beef tenderloin, osso bucco, mushroom risotto, charcuterie and aged cheese, or dark chocolate for dessert.
