L'eredita 2023 is Foreign Affair Winery's flagship wine — a 100% appassimento red made from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grown at the Crispino Estate Vineyard in Niagara's Vinemount Ridge. Named L'eredita ("Legacy") in honour of founders Len and Marisa Crispino, this is the most ambitious wine in the Foreign Affair portfolio and one of the premier Amarone-style red wines made in Canada. Awarded 95 points by Rick Vansickle (September 2025) and Silver at the WineAlign National Wine Awards.

Tasting notes

Crafted with 100% Appassimento, offers a rich tapestry of flavors. Juicy raspberry and cassis dominate the palate, complemented by smooth vanilla undertones. The finish is elegant and persistent, showcasing the wine's depth and complexity.

Winemaker notes

This full Appassimento wine is made using Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit dried for 30 days before fermenting, and was aged in 100% new American and French oak for 19 months.
