Cold winter temperatures on New Year’s Eve 2017 coupled with a very hot summer growing season and a wet fall, gave us a slight reduction in crop due to winter injury and drought stress in the vineyard. The warm growing season was a blessing for red varietals that weathered the winter temperatures giving very ripe grapes and an early harvest overall. This wine is big and complex with smooth, silky yet firm tannins upon release and will continue to develop in your cellar for another 7+ years depending on your taste preferences.
