Winemaker notes

A portion of the wine is aged for 3 months in whisky barrels, adding layers of toasted caramel, vanilla, and smoky warmth. The result is a round, velvety palate where fruit and spice come together in perfect harmony.

Very smooth. The aroma got better as it sat and breathe a little. The astringency of the grape skin was not as strong g as one may expect, it rounded out the boldness of the barrel leaving g a velvet after finish.

Absolute perfect pairing with steak followed by a Cuban cigar … as my husband would say!

This is one of my favourites from foreign affair. Such a great wine with great flavor.
