One of our limited edition wines, with only 71 cases produced. This unique blend of Merlot and Sangiovese holds aromas of raspberry, blackberry, cedar and toasted oak. The palate has firm tannins supporting bold flavours of dark and red fruit with layers of cigar box and tobacco. This wine is drinking beautifully now especially after time in a decanter. It will continue to evolve well in your cellar through to the year 2025.
||The 2018 vintage benefited from a very hot summer, leading to ripe fruit with complex flavours. We were thrilled to have access to a few rows of Sangiovese vines! The grapes were harvested from mid to late November, with a portion set aside to dry for 105 days in the traditional Appassimento method. The wine was then aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels.
||Enjoy this wine with dishes such as barbecued lamb chops topped with chimichurri, flame grilled Tomahawk steak topped with Bearnaise sauce, classic margherita pizza, or smoked tofu on a sauteed vegetable salad.
